It can be said that the concept of social stratification can be explained by categorizing the people of society based on various different factors. These factors include their income, race, education, gender, occupation etc. While reading about social stratification, it can be said that it can be related to the overall hierarchy of a high school. I believe that within a school setting, there are many different categories like the juniors, seniors, staffs, teachers, etc. As we look at the seniors, we believe them to be more educated and older to the juniors who are still learning and trying to understand the same skills.
